AIE Open Day - Saturday 18th November 2017

Considering a career in games, 3D or VFX?

Discover the courses designed to get you started in game development, 3D animation and visual effects at the AIE Open Day on Saturday 18th November 2017. Sydney, Melbourne Canberra and Adelaide campuses will be opening their doors to visitors eager to find out about full-time and part-time courses starting in 2018.

The day will include presentations on different areas of industry to get into as well as information about AIE full-time and part-time courses and entry requirements. Student work will be on display and our teachers will be available to speak with you one on one about our courses and how AIE can get you into a creative career.

  • AIE Courses and Career Pathways

    Description Time
    The games and film industry continues to grow significantly both in Australia and overseas. During this session participants will be given an in-depth analysis of the industry as well as detailed information on the courses that AIE offers, and the application process. 10:00am

  • 3D Animation & VFX for Film

    Description Time
    3D artists create all the amazing visual content we see on our screens. This session will provide an in-depth look at AIE's 3D Animation and VFX course with specific details on each of the units covered in the course. Teachers will also be showcasing work from some of this year's students. 11:00am

  • Game Art and Animation

    Description Time
    Game artists create all the amazing graphics in the games you love to play. They are responsible for creating the characters, environments, all the visual effects plus a range of other tasks that impact on the visual style of the game. 10:30am

  • Game Design and Production

    Description Time
    Game Designers are instrumental in the development of the concepts, story and implementation of game play dynamics in video game production. They are the visionaries and evangelists and are vital in the development process. AIE's Game Design and Production teachers will be providing information on the content of this course. 10:30am

    Description Time
    Programmers are the wizards of the future! Game programmers are instrumental when it comes to creating the framework, functionality and interaction in a game. 10:30am

  • Starting your own studio with GDML & AIE Incubator

    Description Time
    The AIE incubator Program is the only initiative of its kind and is designed to nurture the next generation of game and film developers as they create business units and commercialise their products. AIE's Incubator Coordinators will be talking about the program and the opportunity it provides for AIE's graduates. 11:30am

    Description Time
