30 Nov 06
AIE Canberra's Diploma of Computer Game Development have had an extremely busy time of late, with the 3 games in development passing Gold milestones last week. All of the games are of a high standard, and the students involved should be proud of what they have achieved in a short period of time!
Each of the teams has developed a website for their game, complete with wallpapers, concept art and information on the people involved! You can check out their sites here;
Jungle Escape: Aimed at those young of age or heart, Jungle Escape is a 3D platform/puzzle game, providing a fun adventure through a cell-shaded jungle.
Street 'n' Strip: Street and Strips is a car racing/customizing game with the action taking place around the streets of Canberra!
Big Screen Games: Big Screen Games is a collection of mini-games to to played on a big screen (i.e. a projector or flatpanel TV) within a social setting.
Each of the games will be available for download soon.
Congratulations also to the team from Jungle Escape, which has been selected as a finalist in the 2006 Games Connect Asia Pacific:Best Unsigned Game (Indie) competition. Best of luck to the students involved in Brisbane over the coming weekend!
