Guest Lectures Galore!
19 Sep 06
AIE Canberra students were treated to a guest lecture yesterday from one of our graduates, Taamati Hanson-Pou.
Taamati graduated AIE's Diploma of Computer Game Development (Animation) in 2004 and now works as a 3D artist for Creative Assembly, creators of the Total War series of games. Taamati was on hand to talk about life in the games industry, getting into the games industry and to showcase some of his work for Creative Assembly on Medieval 2:Total War. All students who met Taamati were impressed by the work he has done as well as his invaluable insight into life in the games industry.
AIE students are exposed to as many guest lectures as possible, particularly coming to the end of the year. In recent weeks graduates Daniel Lamb (2004 Diploma of Computer Game Development), now a Programmer with Irrational Games and Neale Murray (2004 Diploma of Computer Game Development), 3D artist formerly with Ratbag Games, now with Krome Adelaide, have also returned to AIE to share their experiences.
