University Pathways
The Academy of Interactive Entertainment provides pathway opportunities for students who wish to continue their studies at university level.
Currently, the University of Canberra (ranked eighth in Australia - excellence in learning and teaching) – grants AIE Advanced Diploma [art] graduates 36 credit points (equivalent to eighteen months full-time study) towards a Bachelor of Media/Multimedia. Advanced Diploma students [ Programming ] can also achieve 24 to 36 points credit towards Bachelor of Information Technology degrees at University of Canberra.

Deakin University in Melbourne grants AIE Advanced Diploma students [Programming] 18 months to 2 years advanced standing into its Bachelor of Information Technology degrees. AIE students receiving a maximum credit of two years must complete a further one year of study at Deakin. Deakin further offers AIE advanced diploma students [Art] Advanced standing up to one year into Multimedia degree programs.

AIE students have also successfully negotiated credit arrangements of 18 months to two years with a number of other universities including Charles Sturt University. Murdoch University and the Australian National University.
