This course covers key industry knowledge in digital compositing and visual effects - from fundamental tasks to advanced skills. Students will learn to use Nuke, the industry-standard digital compositing software.  Nuke is a powerful compositing and effects application that is full-featured, fast and efficient. Nuke is the production proven visual effects tool used on recent films like 'Gravity', 'The Hobbit' Trilogy, 'The Amazing Spiderman 2', 'The Lego Movie'. This course is suited to digital artists, 3D animators and film-makers who are looking to take their work to the next level.

  • How to key and composite green screen and blue screen footage
  • Tracking footage
  • Stabilizing and matchmoving
  • Compositing digital Matte paintings
  • 3D compositing & Integration
  • Working with multipass renders
  • Creating multi-plane elements
  • Use of channels and custom file handling
  • Production of a short Visual FX portfolio piece
