AIE Incubator Program
Overview
AIE's Incubator Program is designed to help graduates create their own independent game businesses and commercialise their innovative digital media content. This program will address some of the gaps between what it takes to design and create games and the skills and knowledge required to be a successful independent developer. The program covers business planning and development as well as marketing, publishing and community engagement.
The key features of the AIE Incubator Program are:
- Participants are mentored through the process of setting up and operating their independent games business delivered by industry mentors and teachers;
- During stage 1 of the program, participants complete a Vocational Graduate Certificate in Entrepreneurship;
- Participant are given 24 hour access to dedicated office space equipped with office furniture, PCs, and access to development kits such as iPhones, iPads and other hardware and software;
- Stage 2 of the program assists these businesses to develop and successfully commercialise their development work;
- Scholarships are available at each stage to assist participants to reach their goals; and
- The incubator program is run in a supportive environment in separate premises from the AIE Campus, and is available for existing independent game studios to move into.
