Overview:
The Certificate IV in Information Technology is the first step towards a career as a programmer for the computer games industry and leads on into the Advanced Diploma of Professional Game Development. The course focuses on introducing students to C++ programming for games, games math and introduces students to 3D games programming.
Students will be guided by industry experienced teachers through a series of tutorials, exercises, assignments and industry guest lectures to cover subjects such as C++ fundamentals, memory management, OO design and implementation, mathematics for games, team work and version control using professional industry level software.
On completion of the Certificate IV in Information Technology students will have the skills to continue into the Advanced Diploma of Professional Game Development and to further their hands on game development skills.

Entry Requirements
All applicants for this course will need to attend an interview, either on campus or by phone. At the interview, applicants will need to show evidence of previous participation in team based activities, some previous programming knowledge in any language (C#, C++, Java or others) and a genuine interest in game development.
