VTAC Application Available at AIE Melbourne

23-Aug-2011 VTAC application is now available at AIE Melbourne. For 2012, all eligible students applying for the Advanced Diploma courses offered at the Melbourne campus will need to submit their application via the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC).

What is VTAC?

The Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) is the central office that administers the application and offer process for places in tertiary courses at university, TAFE and independent tertiary colleges in Victoria (and a few outside Victoria). VTAC receives and forwards application information and supporting documentation to the course selection authorities at institutions. After selection decisions have been made by the course authorities at institutions, VTAC sends offer letters to successful applicants on the institutions’ behalf.

Who is an eligible student?

AIE Advanced Diploma courses are Type 2 VET courses. To apply for the course, you will need to be

  • ·      Australian citizen
  • ·      Australian Permanent Resident
  • ·      New Zealand citizen
  • ·      Temporary Resident (*Temporary Protection Visa holder or East Timorese Asylum Seeker) currently studying Australian Year 12* or International Baccalaureate in Australia or New Zealand (For example: VCE, VCAL, HSC, NTCE, QLD Senior Certificate, SACE, TCE or WACE)

It is highly recommended for students to read through the VTAC publication ABC of Applying 2012 before lodging the application online.  This publication has provided both students and parents with detailed steps of how to apply and other relevant information.

AIE Melbourne has set up computers on campus to help any prospective students register with VTAC and submit the online application. Located on level 8, 14 Queens Rd, Melbourne, the campus opens from 9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday (except public holidays).
