If you are into fan films then look no further! The Academy of Interactive Entertainment has partnered with Sydney based production company, Mechanical Minds to bring to life Harley Quinn (DC comics) in their most recent project, Red Queen. This short film was created by a 25 man team with the crew comprising of a number of AIE graduates and current students from the Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media - Specialising in 3D Animation and VFX. The film was made just for fun and entirely not-for-profit. This one-day shoot was shot in 5K on 2 RED Epics in a vacant warehouse in Sydney. Red Queen has reached over 62,000 views on YouTube in a very short time - be sure to check out this exciting production!






The short film was made with the permission of Warner Bros, and the cast involved model Sheridyn Fisher, Great Gatsby star Kasia Stelmach, Beau Baker and fight director and actor Kyle Rowling.

 

Mechanical Minds studios is a Sydney based production facility providing complete media solutions  for film and TV and was founded in early 2013 by Daniel Maher and Salim Tighnavard (Sydney AIE animation teacher) to originally create a sci-fi TV series in association with international affiliates.
