AIE to host 5 Global Game Jam 2014 sites

07-Jan-2014

An expected 17,000 developers are expected to participate in this year’s Global Game Jam. This would equate up to 3,500 games all developed over 1 weekend.

A game jam is an event where teams of developers create a game in a short amount of time (usually 48 hours). A theme that all developers must incorporate into their game is announced at the start of the jam.

The Australian documentary 'Game Loading: Rise of the Indies' created this great look at what happened at last year’s Global Game Jam event held at AIE Melbourne.

You don’t have to be an AIE student to participate in the Global Game Jam. Simply register for to jam at the Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Seattle or Lafayette AIE campuses.

AIE regularly holds game jams at each of the campuses throughout the year for game programming, game art and game design students. To build up your skills so that you can create your games in only 48 hours visit www.aie.edu.au/apply
