Pathways from AIE to University

The Academy of Interactive Entertainment provides pathway opportunities for students who wish to continue their studies at university level.

Currently, the University of Canberra (ranked eighth in Australia - excellence in learning and teaching) - grants AIE Advanced Diploma [art] graduates 36 credit points (equivalent to eighteen months full-time study) towards a Bachelor of Media/Multimedia. Advanced Diploma students [ Programming ] can also achieve 24 to 36 points credit towards Bachelor of Information Technology degrees at University of Canberra.


Deakin University in Melbourne grants AIE Advanced Diploma students [Programming] 18 months to 2 years advanced standing into its Bachelor of Information Technology degrees. AIE students receiving a maximum credit of two years must complete a further one year of study at Deakin. Deakin further offers AIE advanced diploma students [Art] Advanced standing up to one year into Multimedia degree programs.


AIE students have also successfully negotiated credit arrangements of 18 months to two years with a number of other universities including Charles Sturt University, Murdoch University and the Australian National University.
